Chalkcloths are erasable, reusable and a damp sponge can be used to reuse. Regular chalks and erasers being used in schools can be used. They are lightweight and and portable and flexible compared to a chalkboard or slate. The Chalkcloth is best stored rolled and dry. You can have it attached to hard surfaces with adhesives or using a staple gun or sewn because of the mesh backing. Easily cut by normal scissors.
Before using the Chalkcloth the following process is recommended :
Prepare the surface by rubbing the side of a piece of chalk. Do not use the clay variety which may scratch the surface. Rub the surface from side to side and from top to bottom. Then wipe off the chalk with a soft cloth or a dry sponge. Repeat process again.
With proper care Chalkcloth can provide years of use. Great for teaching, childplay both indoors, outdoors and when travelling, message boards at home and office, cover picture frames and notebooks and journals.....and so much more. Possibilities are endless.
